We started as a group of women gathering to take charge and “lift the fog” on our personal finances. We have now developed into a community of women who are shifting our relationship with money from a consumption-driven paradigm to one of giving, caring and ‘enough’ to co-create an economic future for humanity that sustains life on earth. We do this by exploring our stories and beliefs around money, by continuing to educate and develop ourselves and by building community. If you are interested …
Simply put, we love beef and support the overall health of our environment, but had yet to see a group that combined both areas into one group. Since the creator of the group lives in the Peninsula, she decided to create The San Mateo Organic Beef Meetup Group for those of us who want to continue being beef enthusiasts in a way that is more supportive of the environment. Do you thoroughly enjoy the consumption of beef and want to support the local sustainable agriculture movement? Then t …

Some of us have already taken giant steps towards sustainability & greener living; some would like to take baby steps to "go greener" but don't have the support network to make it happen. Let's connect onl …

Waste vegetable oil costs cities millions per year of repairs to sewer lines and treatment plants. It should be used as a fuel and many existing cars, trucks and vans can use it. It is very cheap and it does not produce the carcinogens nor foul smells of other transportation fuels. It is safer than gasoline and diesel. If from the right sources, it can be totally carbon neutral. It is cheaper than gas or diesel.

Sharing stories over food is a tradition, something we all have done since we were able to recognize lights and sounds. Taken from a dictionary, the definition of "Food" is, a noun: "any nourishing substance that is eaten, drunk, or otherwise taken into the body to sustain life, provide energy, promote grow …
